Share Holding Service

If you cannot pick-up your share on Wednesday during regular pick-up times, we hope our Share Holding Service will help.

You can let us know in advance (using our \CSA HOLD FORM) if you are not going to be able to pick up your share.  We will pack and hold it for you in the walk-in cooler. To make this work, we need to have rules that we ask everyone to follow.

1. Please use the on-line CSA HOLD form. Emails and phone calls and personal requests are difficult for us to keep track of.  There is a tab on the website to access the form and a link to the form will be in EVERY newsletter.
2. You can put in your request any time before 6pm on Wednesday (pick-up day). The earlier the better since a lot of requests at the last minute may make it hard for the person closing up the CSA to put away all of the shares that need to be held.
3. You will receive a reply email when your share is packed and available for pick-up with instructions on where the share will be.
4. Held shares will be available until Thursday at noon.  
5. We will do our best to properly pack your CSA share, but we obviously can’t guarantee that your items will be as fresh as they were on pick-up day.
6. If you would rather, you can always have a friend pick up your share. Just forward the weekly newsletter to your friend as we will always have guidelines for pick-up at the bottom of the newsletter so he or she will know what to do.

What if you forget to pick-up your share and it is after 7pm?

When the pick-up day is over, Held Shares are packed and the remaining produce gets distributed to Community Harvest of Central Vermont. This is the best way we have found to make sure unclaimed food doesn’t go to waste.
