How Pick-Up Works

Wednesdays noon to 7pm at Kingsbury Farm

Kingsbury Farm is located on Route 100 in Warren. If travelling south from Waitsfield, it is right after Mac’s Gas Station and before the iron bridge.

Here are tips to make the pick-up go smoothly:

  1. Please bring a bag or box for your items. We will not have bags or boxes available for you to collect your produce, so please be sure to bring your reuseable bags. In the heat of the summer or the cool of the fall, you may want to bring a picnic cooler if you will not be going right home with your produce.
  2. Please check your name off of the list that will be at the first station when you come into the farm stand.
  3. Now, look at the black board on the back wall showing the share items for the current week. The actual list for the week may be slightly different than what was in the newsletter for the week.
  4. Please be sure you read the list for your share size. If you have a large share, look at the column for the large share. If you have a small share, look at the column for the small share.
  5. Everything will be set out in the order it is listed on the share board. Just walk around the room in order and take the items listed for your size share. This year we have more scales so there should not be a huge bottleneck weighing stuff out.
  6. Speaking of weighing stuff out, think “ish” when you are at the scale. It is hard to get four potatoes to weigh exactly one pound. A little under or a little over is ok.
  7. At the very end of the circle will be additional produce for sale at great prices available only to members. In addition, from time to time we may take bulk orders – for example we will sell extra strawberries toward the end of June this year.  Extra items for sale are sold on a cash only honor system – please leave your money in the cup – exact change makes it easy on you, but there should be plenty of change available if you need to make your own. If you need to pay by check, please make checks out to Aaron Locker, but cash is KING!
  8. If you have a Dairy Add-On Share, it is usually sitting right in the middle of the circle. Be sure to take your dairy share as well.
  9. If you have a Wednesday Supper Share instructions will be coming to you before our first bi-weekly pick-up which is on June 17th!
